30. Rust bucket

It's been a while since I've wrote about my project... Here's some latest news...

I've managed to pull the passenger seat out. It wasn't easy, but, nice big sledge hammer did the trick. Then, I removed the dashboard, heater assembly and the carpet. And, OMG! What a suprise... It looks like I'll have to start welding... So, here are a couple of photos:

Sunroof: It really looks heavy. I have to figure out what to use to fill the hole...

This is how the interior looks without the dashboadr. I gues, I won't be putting it back in...

And this is the suprise I was talking about... Man, it looks ugly!

And, here's another hole. Heh... :) Air condition :)

  1. Badass work so far how long do you think it will take before the car is ready for the track?

  2. To be honest - I don't know! It all depends on finances, free time, and motivation... The last car we built took us about 6 months from start to finish. I guess that this one will be ready in late fall.
P.S. Thank for the comment! :)

  3. If you'll fix this ,you are great then .

  4. I'll certanly try to fix it :)

  8. Well, this green E36 is history. I'm working on a new one (black).

I'll post an update in a day or two.

  9. I had the same problem with my e36, I cut half the floor out and the battery compartment too , and as for the sun roof I took it out and used the metal of the top of it tacked it on and put thin strips of metal to fill the space. After I had it in place I grinded down the welds it came out great. Arthur
